Mixed-media on canvas 40 x 50cm (unframed). Bespoke, original artwork initially created in response to an Open Call for Artists by No Place Art around the theme of Materiality. A spontaneous piece using acrylics, paper ephemera and old race numbers; all materials I most commonly use. Considering the concept of materiality as 'the quality of being relevant or significant' the artwork depicts my art journey so far and 'Where I'm At' as of 2025 and is the first step into drawing inspiration from my immediate and local surroundings. A conscious move to more abstract works while retaining an essence of my design background with a nod to my fascination of maps and use of grid references.
